Happy New Year!

Justin and I are starting our new year in San Diego! yeah!!!! God is so good! we will continually celebrate Justin's birthday and our 2010! and we will get to see Dilya before she goes back to her country!

It made me smile as I found "I Love You" on my bathroom mirror in the morning! A sweet word comes into my eyes and moves my heart. thank you Justin..아침에 일어나 화장실 거울에 쓰여진 말은 나를 미소짓게 하고 내 눈에 들어와 내 맘을 움직인다.

Happy Birthday Justin!

I surprised Justin with many "happy birthday" signs all over the house. It was fun to watch him find one by one. Mom, Tim, Jeff, Kelly, Justin and I went out to Tim's Too(a Mongolian beef restaurant) for lunch together. It was a fun experience to make our own dish. We had a special evening as we were celebrating his 28th birthday! 저스틴의 28번째 생일을 축하하며 집 구석구석에 새일축하 메세지로 깜짝 놀래켜 주었다. 하나하나 찾아내는 재미가 있었다. 저스틴엄마와 팀, 동생제프와 켈리와 몽골리안비프 식당에서 가서 점심을 같이 먹어 좋은 시간을 보내고 저녁에는 둘만의 특별한 시간을 보냈다.

Nutcracker

We made a trip to chicago to see the"Nutcracker" by Joffrey ballet. Thanks to Katha who was very thoughtful for Justin's birthday! I enjoyed it so much even though I've seen it a few times.
저스틴과 나는 제프리 발레단이 매년마다 넛크래커하는 공연을 보러 시카고에 갔다.. 저스틴의 생일을 위한 카타의 뜻깊은 생각에 감사하며... 나는 이미 본것이지만 여전히 멋찌다!!

Christmas Eve

1. We had a nice breakfast! 2. We drove to Kalamazoo! 3. We met our family! 4. We ate and played 'Settlers of catan' together! 5. We went out and bought a car for Mom, Tim, Chelsea, and Katheryn as a Christmas gift! (praise God! it was the best part of the day and I am so proud of Justin!!!) 6. We surprised them! (They did not expect that at all. They really needed the car!) 7. We received gifts from them! Thank you! 8. We were so thankful for the family! 9. Our day was full of blessings because of the gift that we have through Christ!

Justin and I got to go to his brothers place in the evening. They made delicious burgers, we enjoyed our dinner together and played Settler's of Catan'. Justin won 2times.... It has been such a joy to see Jeff and Kelly's daughter Jayda. She is adorable with antlers! 수요일 저녁 저스틴과 나는 꽤 가까이 사는 제프와 켈리집에 갈 수 있었다. 맛나는 햄버거를 만들어 주어서 저녁으로 먹고 넷이서 세틀러라는 게임을 했는데 저스틴이 두번다 이겼다. 사슴뿔 머리띠를 한 제프의 딸은 너무너무 귀엽다!!

So many questions arose in my heart after I talked with my sister to seek heavenly peace that God intended through Christ. My heart is crying out to God who is more than able to do all things in our trials and burdens according to His amazing purpose. Pray that we all simply meditate on our joy that came from Jesus who was born to save us this Christmas season!

영신이와 오랜만에 통화를 하고 나는 한참을 많이 질문들을 통해 정말 하나님이 그리스도를 통해 주신 그 평안에 관해 생각했다.. 내 마음은 우리의 고난과 우리가 짋어진 것들 속에서 놀라운 목적아래 모든것이 가능하신 그분께 아뢰본다. 정말 우리를 구하려 오신 그리스도가 우리의 기쁨임을 이 크리스마스를 통해 더욱 묵상하길 기도해본다..

Cooking on Orchard

Yes, I am cooking everyday! It has been fun to discover new recipes since I got married and to enjoy my dinner with Justin. Thankfully, he eats everything that I cook. I made a Salmon with mushroom (but I think Justin's grilled Salmon is better) and Broccoli salad with baked sweet potato. It was very delicious! And I made healthy banana blueberry muffin for the breakfast. Indeed, I am thank God who created our taste buds to enjoy so many different kinds of food. 결혼후에 새로운 요리를 시도해 보니 나름대로 재미있고 요리하는 대로 다 먹어주는 저스틴과의 저녁식사가 즐겁다.. 어제는 버섯과 연어를 요리했다. (보통 저스틴의 연어를 그릴에 구울때 더 맛이 나는듯..) 그리고 오븐에 구운 고구마와 브로컬리 샐러드가 너무 맛있었다. 아침을 위해 건강한 바나나 블루베리 머핀도 굽고.. 와.. 진짜 이렇게 다양한 맛을 맛볼 수 있게 하신 하나님 감사해요..

He says a Woman needs flowers

It is a joy to see some vivid colors from flowers in the house. Especially since this winter brought some uncolored backgrounds around the house. And I am amazed by their details. It makes me wonder about and praise our creator God. Justin has been getting flowers! (actually, I requested before we got married...) But now, He says, a woman needs flowers. haha.. I appreciate it so much! thank you Justin! 요즘은 집에 강렬하고 아름대운 색채를 가진 꽃들을 보며 기쁨을 가진다.. 겨울이라 모든것이 모노톤이다.. 꽃이 가진 그 디테일을 보며 어찌 나의 창조주를 찬양하지 않을 수 있을까.... 저스틴은 규칙적으로 꽃을 안겨줬다.. (사실 결혼전에 특별 요청..하하) 아무튼.. 이제는 저스틴도 이렇게 말을 하지.. 모든 여자는 꽃이 필요하다고.. .그래서 고맙다..

Life with our Neighbor

On Saturday evening, Scott and Kristen invited us for dinner. Justin and I walked over to their house since they live really close by! Scott made this french food and 'duck' was in it. He said he made it for 3days. We all enjoyed it so much! It was a wonderful and relaxing evening. They have 4 lovely kids and 2 dogs. The snow continued to fall as our talk was lingering into our ears and our lives got to be shared. I was touched by God's beauty in their life.

Justin made a snowman, I liked it a lot! Hope it stays the whole winter with us! I think I should name it soon...
저스틴이 집앞에 눈사람을 만들었다.. 꽤 귀엽다. 겨울내내 우리와 잘 견디어내면 좋을텐데.. 곧 이름을 지어줘야 겠다..

Carrie Klint is working in the city every weekend and I was able to get a ride to chicago at 6AM. As soon as I arrived and started to walk in the city, I realized I really missed Chicago where I have so many memories and stories of my last 4years living there. It was really good that I got to see Katha before she goes back to Germany for Christmas break. We went to a brunch restaurant "Orange Peal" and enjoyed our whole morning together with delicious food and talk. I want to praise God who is doing His beautiful work in her life. It still amazes me how God brings people together to grow together! I had so much fun in the city and enjoyed walking everywhere. And I was so happy to see Korean pears at Trader Joe's!! Because Korean pear is the best!!! My Friday dinner with Justin at Shoreline Brewery allowed us to celebrate his last Friday working!! So proud of him! 캐리가 매주금요일마다 시카고에서 일을해서 같이 차를 얻어타고 아침 6시에 시카고에 갈 수 있었다.. 도시에 내려 걷자마다 지난 4년동안 살면서 가졌던 추억과 삶에 얼마나 그리운 곳인지 생각하게 했다. 카타가 크리스마스 방학동안 독일자기집을 가기전에 볼 수 있어서 너무 좋았다.. 유명한 브런치 오렌지 레스토랑에 가서 오전내내 맛나는 음식을 먹으며 교제를 나눴다.. 만날때마다 이야기 할때마다 카타를 생각하며 하나님께 감사하다. 그리고 놀랍다.. 두 사람을 같은 곳에 불러주셔서 같이 나누고 성장할 수 있게 하시는 그분의 일이!! 오랜만에 시티를 걷고 좋은 시간을 보냈다.. 트레러조에서 한국배를 발견해서 너무 기뻤다. 한국배는 너무 맛있어! 이제 마지막이고 또 마지막 금요일을 일한 저스틴과 저녁을 같이 먹으므로 축하를 했다. 너무 일을 많이 열심히 했기때문에 칭찬을 많이 해주고 싶었다.

Celebration Blend

I miss Chicago's fresh roasted Intelligentsia coffee, although we still get their coffee here in MI from Bud & Elsie's. Yesterday, Yulia said she could mail it to me every Tuesday which touched my heart. The good news is,the guy who works at Bud and Elsies's just gave us a 12oz bag for free. Yeah! it is "Celebration Blend" and pretty good. Justin got to enjoy it also since I've been getting up at 5AM to make a cup of coffee for him to go. 시카고에서 매주 화요일마다 갓 로스트한 인텔리젠시아 커피가 그립다.. 버드앤엘시스에서 좀 시간이 지난 것을 구할 수가 있는데 몇일 전에 사러갔을때 거기서 일하는 아저씨가 꽁짜로 주어서 잘 마시고 있다. 셀러브레이션 블랜드는 처음 마셔보는데 꽤 괜찮다.. 요즘은 새벽 5시에 일어나서 저스틴이 일하러갈때 가져갈 수 있도록 만들어 주고 있어 같이 즐긴다..

Christmas Stockings

I made Christmas Stockings for the first time. I made them out of Justin's old T-shirts. Carrie inspired me.. Now I can expect something from Justin... ^^
크리스마스 스타킹을 처음으로 만들어보다.. 저스틴이 버린 오래된 티셔츠로. 캐리에게 영감을 받다. 은근히 빨리 만들라고 눈치준 저스틴에게 이제 뭘 좀 기대해본다...

Date Night

We decided to make our time together special, like a date night once a week, even though it's hard to do it every week.. I was very thankful that I got to go out this night. Justin surprised me with the place! Christmas lights were very pretty in St. Joseph and the Cod fish was delicious with the pesto sauce. For the veggies we had zucchini, green beans and carrots and to top it off, we had garlic mashed potatoes. 일주일에 한번씩은 꼭 특별한 시간을 만들로 했지만 그게 말만큼 쉽지은 않았지만 오늘은 저스틴이 나를 특별한 곳에 대려가서 놀래켜주었다.. 저녁은 맛있고.. 30분거리에 떨어진 세인트조라는 곳에 끝도 없는 크리스마스 장식은 정말 볼거리였다...

Christmas Cookie exchange

The lady's bible study just finished their study on "Tabernacle" Pam Klint made the tabernacle with crackers and candies.. it is just amazing! Carrie invited me to make Christmas cookies, we got to be creative with them! I almost forgot to mention this was my first time ever making Christmas cookies... I had so much fun! 여자성경공부모임에서 구약에 나오는 성소에 대한 공부를 마치고 어떤분이 쿠키와 캔디로 똑같이 만들었는데.. 정말 대단했다.. 그 끈기와 노력.. 그리고 세밀함.. 전날 캐리가 크리스마스 쿠키를 만들자고 초대해서 맘껏 쿠키를 장식했다..
