9 Months

Can you believe that He is 9 months now(Feb 29. 2012). I still remember I was holding Zion when he was born. It is true that he is growing and changing really fast. I used to think He is so much like Justin but now I see more often myself in him. I can't stop praising God for this perfect gift from above.

Life to Share

Justin and I decided to be intentional spend our Monday for us and our family. We made a trip to Chicago for Korean market, Trader Joe's and to see Bair's family. It was so good to be with them. Ari and Ti is growing fast. Ari really likes Zion and she said she will get married with Zion. It reminded our time in Korea together. I wish we could be little more closer to get together often. God is working for us in a different place. I pray that we continually will see His glory as we seek and obey where He calls us in this season. Though I had fun our first try out Monday and so grateful for my husband who allowed me to get the things that I wanted. It made me feel so loved. Again, I appreciate all the details I could see from the nature God created and people who can express with such gift of art.

P.S. I didn't bring my camera. All was taken by iphone. Surprisingly not too bad.

Yes, Zion cries. Then he sweats and his hair gets to curl crazy. And I hold him. Then he looks at me with his sweet eyes. I love you baby.

Where is my heart, soul and mind?

"To just read the Bible, attend church, and avoid "big" sins- in this passionate, wholehearted love for God? "
- Francois Fenelon, The seeking heart
I have been memorizing this verse (Mt. 22:37-38). How many times I heard about his verse in my life? Maybe I said it so many times without even thinking. But then, how come it piers my heart like I never heard this before? Isn't this the true LIFE that I should pursue? It starts with this to understand how He intended in us before the creation.
A. W. Tozer,
"What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us... Worship is pure or base as the worshiper entertains high or low thoughts of God. For this reason the gravest question before the Church is always God Himself, and the most portentous fact about any man is not what he at a given time may say or do, but what he in his deep heart conceives God to be like."
God has been opening my eyes of heart to come to Him and allowing to love Him in a way that I never experienced before as I have been meditating this truth.

Beauty in his tears

Sometime, I think about how can babies produce so much tears everyday. They communicate often with cry. And then, their tears cover their pretty eyes and their tears start to drop on their face. I often get to taste their salty tears on my mouth. It is a beauty to see all kind of expressions from Zion even though he is in such a young age of his life. I am so blessed to be part of his life even with his tears.

LOVE

R. C. Sproul writes, "Men are never duly touched and impressed with a conviction of their insignificance, until they have contrasted themselves with the majesty of God."
Can I even comprehend who God is and what kind of love He has for me? I feel so small and helpless. Yet God cares about my being and my life in a way that I can't even fathom. I wish I could open my eyes of heart to see and to experience His love in the way that He wants me to see and to experience. My head seems know it but my heart seems not fully(?) comprehending it. I want to ask God to put my heart and faith in a right place where it belongs.
1John 2:5 "But if anyone obeys his word, love for God is truly made complete in them. This is how we know we are in him." This is my prayer.
P.S. The flower plant brought to me from Carrie Klint. I was encouraged and comforted. So blessed by her.

Wild hair man who has 2 teeth

Zion's hair is crazy. His hair looks different everyday. It makes me laugh whenever he surprises me with different hair style after he wakes up from his sleep & nap. Now, it's even funnier with his front bottom 2 teeth that has been coming out and showing. I love my little wild hair man who has two teeth.

Miscarriage

"For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose." (Philippians 2:13) Life is full of unexpected things. Yet I continually believe that God is sovereign over all things. I was pregnant with our 2nd child for 10 weeks. But the little one is not in my belly any more. I had a miscarriage on Feb. 7th in 2012. At the age of 33, I gave birth to Zion who is so precious and a our joy and I also lost one. It has been hard for me to understand why God allowed this to be happened in my life. Yes, He is the one who gives and takes away. I felt like God is trying to teach me again to have faith in Him alone. How much do I need to learn to have faith in Him alone. And say that God knows absolutely what is best for my life. Yes, it is not about me but about His good purpose and glory. Yet He cares so much of me. It is easy to say who God is according to what I know through His word. But God loves me so much that I could experience in a very personal and intimate way. He is not God who is far out there to rule this universe but He is my Creator who knows my most deepest needs and calls me as His own. I felt like my faith has been tested and brought to the level that God takes my walk with Him seriously. By His grace, I again come out strong and see His glory as I believe.
"Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?”(John 11:40)
Justin got this flower when I had a miscarriage. There is absolute beauty in what God has made through all the details that I see.

Endless Korean Cravings

Recently, I have been craving for Korean food so badly. Justin suggested that I should go to the Korea market. So I drove for 50 min. to buy some ingredients to make some Korean food. This was very significant. Because I never drove some where by myself this far. It was hard and stressful but it gave me total satisfaction after I ate "Jjolmyen". It is crazy how simple thing can make a difference in life. I came to realize again that I am truly Korea who needs to eat Korean food at least few times a week. Above all, I was very thankful that I could still have some authentic Korean food from this foreign land.
