Snow day

Michigan winter is cold. We have been staying in the house all day long and everyday. But it is very pretty to watch snow falling. It is kinda romantic. It's like God's little white touch for our season. Zion expresses to go out side. He seems he wants to experience snow. But I have not really let him go out in this cold weather these days. I wonder I was like that when I was little....

Friends

It has been such a blessing to have Matteo around. Zion and Matteo are just a few month apart that they are like friends. Andrea dropped him off at our place for 2 hours. Zion had so much fun with him. It is so good for Zion to be around with other kids. And Zion has been showing such interest on books. Hopefully, it will continue. Finally, I made hooks for our keys with photo frame. Now we can be more organized. And I love watching my plant grow. It reflects God's goodness and faithfulness.

Everyday cooking

It is a part of life that I need to cook for family everyday. What should we eat become everyday thought. Honestly, cooking is not my favorite thing to do. But I am thankful that I could do it for my family. Since I really like Thai food, I tried to make the Pad Thai sauce for the first time. It turned out pretty good and it was much better than the sauce from the bottle or package. I realized I like pizza that I make at home more than pizza from some of  restaurants. But there is some kind of rule in my stomach that I want to eat Korean food at least one meal of the day. It is interesting. I made Seaweed soup out of Clam broth and it turned out very good. Thank you Lord for all different kinds of food that we could enjoy!

Happy Birthday to My Mom

 오늘은 사랑하는 엄마의 생일입니다. 엄마를 생각할때 마다 아름다운 꽃들도 생각나지만 엄마가 희생했던 엄마의 일생을 생각하게 되요. 열정과 사랑이 넘쳐서 그저 주고 그저 섬겼던 모습들이  내 기억에 가득합니다. 정말 엄마의 인생이 꽃과 같이 화려하게 하게 피다가 계절과 시간을 따라 조금씩 시들어 갈지는 모르겠지만 엄마만의 향기와 중심의 뿌리가 그리스도의 사랑안에 깊게 박혀서 나름대로 필요한 곳에서 그 진정한 생명의 빛을 품으며 전하고 있다고 생각해요. 다시 한번 말할 기회가 있어도 그저 감사하다는 말 밖에는 할 것이 없겠죠. 세상에서 가장 중요한 사랑, 하나님의 사랑을 가르쳐 준 것, 기회를 준 것, 쉬지 않고 우리를 위해 기도해 준 것,  끝까지 포기하지 않고 우리 셋딸을 밀어주고 항상 그렇게 우리를 위해 있어 준 것이 너무 소중하네요. 또 한 해를 보내고 한 해를 시작하는 엄마에게 하나님의 특별한 축복이 엄마를 계속적으로 그분의 영원으로 가기를 준비하는 하루하루되고 어디서나 누구에게나 그 분의 사랑이 엄마 삶 속에서 넘치고 넘치길 기도해봐요. 바로 가까이 있지 못하지만 멀리서 엄마의 생일을 축하해 보며 사랑하고 축복하고 늘 그립습니다. 

Happy 30th to Yulia

My dear friend Yulia turned 30 today. She is taking a trip with her husband Jonathan by bike about 500 miles from San Francisco to Los Angeles along the west coast as she is entering her 30s. It will be a challenge for sure. I send my cheers and prayer. God has done something special to me through her life. I pray that He will continually touch many lives and open her eyes to see His true beauty more and more through life.

Like Paul's prayer in Philippians 1:9,10,11....

And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ,  filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

Zion just loves being in the water and taking a bath. Prob, he will turn into a fish one day.

Blueberry

I love blueberry. It is just so good and tasty. I was so thankful because I could still eat them in this season some how. Strawberry was one of the fruit that I ate so much when I was pregnant with Zion. Blueberry is one of my favorite fruit to eat for my 2nd pregnancy. So I finished them all in 3mins. I was also thinking about God created this and knew the taste that we will have in our mouth. God is good. Indeed.

My mistake

So sadly, I dropped the orchid plant that Justin got for me. So all the flower fell. It hurts my heart. It has been such a joy to look at each day especially in this cold grey winter. So I kept some of them for a little longer in a jar.

 It's has been cold. Thankfully, we do have a nice fire place to keep our house warm. We don't go out but stay home all the time. Zion likes to hang out with his Daddy, to play with Grandpa's stick whenever he visits us and to watch 'Pororo' by the fire place.

 Zion likes to experience everything now. Prob I would say he likes to touch all things and find out...

 Zion's face is getting mature. Yes, he does not look like a baby anymore...

Zion went to "Storytime" at the Library and made this piggy. It's officially his first craft with my help...
